History Of Pyro Electric
Founded in 1992, Pyro Electric’s first manufacturing facility was set up in a small 500 sq feet shop in the suburb of Mumbai. The brainchild of M D Bichu, who had a 25-year of experience in selling field instruments, this Company received its first order, even before the manufacturing facility was set up. The potential was enormous, and the first facility in Bicholim, Goa was operational in 1993. Built on a 12000 square feet plot, this facility catered to end-to-end temperature measurement products, namely thermocouples, RTDs Thermowells, Temperature Measurement by Thermocouple, and Mineral Insulated thermos-electric cables.
The growth was generous, and newer facilities were added.
- 1994: Goa Thermostatic Instruments was set up to manufacture Pressure and Temperature indicators
- 1996: Joint Venture with HNL Instruments and Controls, UK, for the manufacture of Pressure and DP Switches in Goa
- 2004: Joint Venture with MICC Ltd, UK, for the manufacture of Mineral Insulated Cables in Goa
- 2007: Acquired Hydropneumatics Ltd near Mumbai, and shifted the facility to Goa
- 2014: Joint Venture with Clark Reliance Corporation, USA, to manufacture Level Gauges in Goa
Besides this, Pyro Electric also has an association with Kawaso Electrical Industrial Company, Japan by way of minor stake-holding in Pyro
Within a span of 20 years, Pyro Electric as a Group has acquired specialties to design, manufacture field instruments catering to temperature measurement by thermocouple, pressure, flow, and level parameters. All the manufacturing facilities are in close proximity within an Industrial Area of North Goa, and well connected to all major cities in India.
Pyro Electric offers application solutions and specializes in handling tough metallurgies, and extensive experience in handling various aspects of deliverables such as welding qualifications, traceability & product testing, To name a few.
Pyro Electric has a large customer base in Oil & Gas, upstream, mid and downstream, and caters to many process industry applications, Owing to this, it has qualified itself on many process technology licensor approvals.
